My daughter’s best friend at school is vegan and after her first playdate, she proudly came home and told me she’d had vegan dinner. When her friend came round to our house, her anxious Mum handed me a packet of vegan biscuits just in case we didn’t have any suitable food in the house or wasn't sure what vegan food is (she didn’t know I had an entirely vegetarian company at that point!). - At Essential Care we have long catered for the needs of vegans - as a result, much of Essential Care skincare is vegan. We also differentiate which products are vegan from those that are vegetarian on the packaging.
All Essential Care skin care, hair care and makeup are of course vegetarian – there is no way we’d use any animal bi-products or testing to create skincare or cosmetics. Those products that do not contain beeswax or propolis are also suitable for vegans. At this point I should also add that the beeswax we use in no way harms the bees and in fact has been praised for boosting the local bee population.
In a recent survey, one request from our many vegan customers was to clearly flag up the vegan products on our website. We have done just that, with a ‘vegan friendly’ section on the drop-down menus. If there’s anything else we can do, as ever, we look forward to your feedback!
N.B. Health and beauty products certified by the Soil Association (which all of ours are) are never allowed to use ingredients or processes that harm animals in any way. This includes no animal testing.
